What to do if you find a bank card

Make a note of when and where you found it in case this information is useful. Pick it up and return it to the bank it belongs to - in person. Hand it to a Customer Services person. What I wouldn’t do is post a photo of it on Facebook, even if the owner could be found this way. Anyone could say it’s theirs and steal money using it.

When there isn’t a band near you there is also a customer service number you can call.

I have returned cards I've found to banks in the past. They were more than helpful in locating its owner.
